Quick summary: If you have ever thought about ordering peptides from an international supplier, you have probably had this thought: "What if customs takes my package?"
The Fear Everyone Has (But Rarely Talks About)
If you have ever thought about ordering peptides from an international supplier, you have probably had this thought: "What if customs takes my package?"
It is a reasonable concern. You are spending real money on research materials, and the idea of that money disappearing into a customs warehouse is not fun. So let us address it directly — what actually happens, how often it occurs, and what we do about it.
How Often Does Customs Actually Seize Peptide Packages?
Rarely. Most peptide shipments arrive without any issue.
Customs agencies around the world process millions of packages every day. They cannot open and inspect every single one. Most packages go through with nothing more than a scan or a quick look at the declaration form.
When seizures do happen, they tend to be random inspections rather than targeted operations. Customs officers select a small percentage of packages for closer examination. If your package happens to be in that small percentage, it might get opened and reviewed.
The odds are in your favor. But "rarely" is not "never," and that is why it is worth understanding how this works.
Why Customs Seizes Packages
When a package does get seized, it is usually for one of these reasons:
- Random inspection. Your package was selected as part of routine screening. Nothing personal — just bad luck in a random sample.
- Unclear or missing documentation. If the customs declaration does not clearly describe the contents, or if the declared value seems wrong, customs may hold the package for review.
- Country-specific rules. Different countries have different rules about what can be imported. Some countries have stricter policies about research chemicals than others.
- Suspicious packaging. Poorly labeled or suspiciously packaged items draw more attention than professionally packaged ones.
What Happens to You If Your Package Is Seized?
If customs seizes a package, the typical outcome is one of two things:
- The package is returned to sender. Customs sends it back and you never receive it.
- The package is destroyed. Customs disposes of the contents and sends you a notification letter explaining what happened.
Whether a research compound can lawfully be imported into your country is determined by your country's own import laws — not by us. International customers are responsible for knowing and following the import rules that apply where they live. Please understand those rules before you order.
The practical downside is that you lose the product and the money you paid for it. Below is exactly how we handle that situation.
Our Policy: We Do Not Reship Into a Seizure
Let us be straight with you, because this is where a lot of vendors are not. If your order is seized by customs, we do not reship it.
The reason is practical. A customs authority that has already stopped and seized a shipment is far more likely to stop and seize an identical replacement sent to the same address. Sending another package into the same checkpoint would not solve the problem — it would usually repeat it, at your expense and risk.
It is also a matter of compliance. Whether a research compound can lawfully enter your country is your responsibility to determine before you order. A vendor "guarantee" cannot override your country's import laws, and we will not pretend otherwise.
What We Do If Your Order Is Confirmed Lost
If your order is confirmed lost — for example, customs returns or destroys it and you have documentation showing it never reached you — contact our support team. We will review the situation with you and work toward a fair resolution, which on a confirmed loss generally means a refund.
Step 1: You Notify Us
Contact our support team and let us know what happened. Provide your order number and any documentation you have — a customs notification letter, or tracking information showing the package was returned or held.
Step 2: We Verify
We confirm what happened using the information you provide. In most cases, tracking data is enough — it will show the package being held, returned, or marked undeliverable.
Step 3: We Work Toward a Refund
On a confirmed loss, we work with you toward a refund. We do not send a replacement shipment back into a customs checkpoint that has already stopped your order, because that would put you at the same risk a second time.
Why We Handle It This Way
Two reasons.
First, it is honest about how customs works. Promising a free reship "no questions asked" sounds generous, but reshipping into a checkpoint that already seized a package usually just loses a second package. We would rather make a confirmed loss right than make a promise that does not hold up in practice.
Second, it respects the rules. Importing research compounds is governed by the laws of the destination country, and following those laws is the buyer's responsibility. A guarantee is not a substitute for your own local import compliance.
How to Reduce the Risk
Customs seizures are uncommon, and there are a few things you can do to help your order arrive smoothly in the first place:
- Know your country's rules. Before ordering, confirm whether the compound you want can be lawfully imported where you live. This is the single most important step.
- Provide accurate shipping information. Incorrect addresses or incomplete details increase the chance of customs scrutiny and delays.
- Be patient with tracking. International shipments sometimes show unusual status updates as they pass through multiple countries. A brief hold at customs is normal and does not necessarily mean a seizure.
Our Quality Guarantees
While we do not reship orders seized by customs, we do stand behind the quality of every order:
- 99% Purity Guarantee — if independent testing shows purity below 99%, you get a full refund. (Read more)
- Replacement Guarantee — if your order arrives damaged, defective, or with the wrong item, we replace it at no cost.
