This blend combines NAD+, the nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide cofactor central to cellular redox reactions and to sirtuin activity, with MOTS-c, a mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in mitochondrial DNA and studied for metabolic regulation, and 5-Amino-1MQ, a small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase. All three are investigated within mitochondrial and NAD-pathway research, and the blend is of interest where that pathway is being studied from more than one direction in a single preparation.
