Description
Research Overview
ARA-290, also referred to as cibinetide, is an 11-amino-acid synthetic peptide derived from the helix B domain of erythropoietin (EPO). Unlike EPO itself, ARA-290 is non-erythropoietic — it does not stimulate red blood cell production — and is studied instead for its interaction with the innate repair receptor (IRR).
Research interest centres on the IRR pathway and its role in tissue response and inflammatory signalling. ARA-290 has been investigated in laboratory and clinical research settings examining neuropathic and inflammatory pathways.
